Our Background

"What started as a fun project has turned into the best thing to have happened to us."

Owners, Amanda & Garnet, started Water Sweets in late June 2019. With only three days to find a wholesaler and come up with ideas, they successfully opened on July 1st. Since then the shop has grown each year by adding new products such as chips, drinks, popcorn, and more.

They are currently looking for local artists, crafters, and small businesses to collaborate with. Feel free to contact them via social media or the contact form.

ABOUT THE OWNERS

Amanda grew up and currently resides in Matapedia, Quebec. After high school, she worked in home care for the CLSC and Entre-Tiens d'Avignon. After meeting Garnet, they moved to Nova Scotia and made the decision that being home in Restigouche was best for them. She started taking Accounting in 2014 but ultimately decided that wasn't what she wanted to do. She was a stay-at-home parent helping Garnet with side projects until the opening of Water Sweets.

Garnet grew up in Squaw Cap, New Brunswick, and currently resides in Matapedia, Quebec. Although having a trade in heavy machinery, he discovered cooking when he moved back from Nova Scotia. He currently works at Smoke On The Water. He also runs a business called The Bread Slice in which he and his mother sell bread and sweets, formerly at the Sugarloaf Community Market in Atholville, New Brunswick.
